we had a great night thanks. my 12 year old loved it. he’s the same age i was in 1979. what a year. it got a bit rough at the front this time though or maybe i really am getting a little too old for it. there was even some ol fellas chanting “skinhead”! new album is great. my personal favs are la luna, how can i tell you, misery, leon and so alive. suggs powder blue sounds a little like a follow up to africa – another of my favourites. would love to hear that one live. as well as drawing for a living i also play guitar. when i was younger and growing into a teenager i started listening to the bunnymen. i sort of changed musical direction as you do and got into playing guitar. but i am into acoustic. you played acoustic on intro to In the Middle of the Night – it would be great to see madness do an unplugged set. double bass, acoustic guitars and all that. i always loved the version of tomorrows just another day with elvis costello on vocals. bedders double bass playing is bang on. do you still play acoustic?
