Chris, just thought I’d say what a great weekend we had. The Madness gigs and Showtime were great. Just a shame we had a nightmare getting home. We set off after the Saturday night gig as we needed to be home in Bolton Lancs before midday Sunday. Three flooded roads three feet deep and about thirty miles in we got stuck, called RAC who charged us £85 cos water isn’t covered with £300+ to have the car and us recovered home. Anyway we did laugh and sung Always look on the bright side of life whilst stuck in the car. Slightly poorer than before but richer for seeing Madness. I hope you and everyone else got home less eventfully than us. Good luck and all the best. Cross your fingers that my car starts once the battery is charged. See you.

Was the engine flooded? That’s not funny, sounds a right nightmare and I’m glad you got home. I went home on Sunday morning with a bad hangover. I got in at 4am Sunday morning from being out all night on the lash in Reds and whatever and my tour manager got me a car at 9.30 as he thought I might get stuck there. Love him.

Cheers Chris. Engine was buster and car was written off £760 recovery, still arguing with the insurance. They paid for the car slightly more than I thought I’d get but won’t pay for the recovery. Never mind I should have joined you in Reds instead. Hope to see you at the races soon.
