Welcome to the inaugural Grandslam Games, taking place at the House Of Fun Weekender, Minehead 2015!
Gather your gang (4 people per team), choose a suitably nutty name and step up to the plate!
The victorious team will receive the coveted “Grandslam Cup” (rumoured to be carved from Suggs’ old mantelpiece) presented to them by members on the band on the Sunday on Centre Stage (just after Woody’s set)
Other winners and runners up prizes include tickets to a Madness show of your choice, lots of free Madness beer (Lovestruck, Gladness & Night Boat) and more!

The Events
SUMO FOOTBALL – SATURDAY 12:00-14:00 – 5-A-SIDE FOOTBALL PITCHES
Heave on a Sumo Suit and let it rip against your fellow Madness fans. It’s sweaty, it’s knackering and you look completely silly… But it’s (literally) tons of fun! Now where are those boiled eggs?
DARTS – SATURDAY 15:00-17:00 – JAKS
One huuunndred and seven!?! Channel your inner Bobby George (but don’t drink as much as Andy Fordham) and get your eye in at the Darts leg of the Grandslam games. We’ll be playing quick fire games so arrange the best couple of players on your team and get them onto the stage at Reds. With our debonair host, we’ll ensure you leave laughing even if your darts hit the headboard…
Even if you’re not competing, get down and support these athletes on Saturday evening in Reds!
ROUNDERS – SUNDAY 12:00-14:00 – OUTSIDE BLUE SKIES
Gather up your gang and head over to the Village Green for some proper old school English larking about, with a good old game of Rounders! If you have allegiances in other teams then now is the time to show it, as teams will be merged in 2’s and 3’s to go head to head against the rest, with each winning team grabbing 5 points for their tally. Pick up that bat and remember to run like the wind!
POOL – SUNDAY 14:30-16:00 – SPORTS BAR
It’s the pub classic that is always a huge hit at the House of Fun… And with 12 tables to play on, let’s make some breaks! Pick the best members of your team for a knock-out tournament of American Pool… Anyone got any chalk?
BOWLING – SUNDAY 16:00-18:00 – SPORTS BAR
It’s the final countdown… Strriiiike! We all think we’re superstars, but can you really hit those pins when the pressure is on? The Grandslam Cup will be gleaming nearby as you try to navigate your team to glory. Rack them up and keep your nerve!
