I learnt my first sax solo playing along to Lee Perry & The Upsetters ‘Return Of Django’ I last met this Unearthly man at the Jazz Cafe, when I jumped up with support ‘Floor Dropper’ at the Jazz Cafe around 2018.He mumbled some words of wisdom at me in the back stage area well, at least I hope it was some pearls, hard to decipher!  Then later that evening meeting Doughie of Bad Manners at the D.C. Who claimed to be Mr Perry’s God Son!!….It’s a story for ‘Growing Out Of It pt 2’ for sure.Mr Lee Perry was a riddler, a fiddler, a shining enigma, He will always be The Upsetter. (RIP Lee)
