Just got my tickets through for Manchester, really looking forward to it as always. Looking forward to watching Paul Heaton too, always liked the Beautiful South and Housemartins before them. Similar in a way to yourselves I suppose, where some of the songs hide some very dark lyrics in amongst a bouncy tune!
Anyhow, back to the point, who chooses the support acts for your tours? Is there any band input or is it the tour promoters or management who make the decisions? Do you have to consider the style of music or is it whoever begs and pleads the most!? Are there any acts you would like to have join you (the Saturdays may be nice as long as they don’t sing!!)
Have taken up playing the tenor sax at the ripe old age of fortysomething so may be available to tour next year…..hahaha!!

I just sort of answered that one and the process is pretty much a combination of what you said, although we specifically wanted the Aggrolites a few years back.
