I went to see Suggs’show in Coventry on Sunday night, it was really enjoyable. One revelation staggered me. When you played the big festival in Paris a few years back, nad had to replace Oasis as the heradline act, apparently they’d initially got you boted off the main stage. Are you able to tell us what their reason for it was?

There were two stages opposite each other. The rumour was they didn’t want us on the same stage. I don’t know if this was true, as Noel told me [the one time I met him] that he liked Madness. I was looking forward to seeing them, then they split up!
