I’m 31, born and grew up in England, one of my earliest memories is Madness on Top of the Pops in 1983.

You were one of my favourite bands growing up and I even collected your 7″ offerings from the local classic record store, and ponied up all my pocket money to buy The Business when it came out…..

….yet i’ve never seen you live. Now I live in southern California and really looking forward to seeing you in LA on April 16. A big gaping hole in my live music portfolio will be pluggeth forever. Will dig out best Mickey Pearce outfit for occasion, etc.

I was wondering who Mickey Pearce was [I assumed some cool US icon] then I Googled him.. ha ha. I should’ve remembered him! also you the fact that you were born and lived in the UK is a bit of a clue. I must read these messages with more attention..
