The new album is great as were all the others (in my humble opinion), however since this is my mail I shall deem it a statement of fact…
Since the next….album may be a couple of years away, can we start the planning now?
It goes without saying that Madness are fortunate to have so many excellent songwriters within one band and the rewards are shown yet again with the new album. My suggestion for the next album would be (dare I say it) lay down your pens and pads…Send a message to the major artist who list Madness as an influence on their careers and invite them to contribute a song for consideration on your next album (you may even let a couple of the artist play or sing with you). They of course will ask you to return the favour and out come the pens and pads again.
