Can you help me settle a bet with a friend?

My friend thinks that “Our House” was originally used in the movie Sixteen Candles but that it was replaced by the close knock-off “Filene” when the movie was released on video.

I don’t think your (great) song ever appeared in the movie and that it has always been the knock-off “Filene” by Ira Newbold. Who is right?

I would find it hard to say. Our songs often get used in the trailer for a film, then they are not used in the film. If that helps.
